A large square wall panel, consisting of two silver-coloured metal sheets, slightly raised in the centre and parting to reveal a circular gilded metal disc. The panel has a large blue enamel circle in the middle. The back of the panel has a thin wood frame and is inscribed by the artist ‘1972. 10 (October), Tea Ceremony in the Morning’.

 

The artist of this wonderful panel is Fuwa Takendo. He was born in Takayama City, Gifu prefecture in 1941. A paper label pasted on the back records that the panel was exhibited at the 4th Nitten exhibition (Showa 47, 1972).
