Hiramatsu Yasuki, originally from Osaka, Yasuki graduated from the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. He exhibited at Nitten Exhibitions and was awarded many prizes. Between 1984 and 1994, he taught metal art as a professor at the Tokyo University of Fine Arts. His works can be found in The Japanese Imperial Household Agency collection, National Museum of Modern Art Tokyo, Royal College of Art London, Victoria and Albert Museum London, and the Scottish Gallery. He was a member of the Japan Craft Design Association, as well as a Director of the Japan Jewellery Designers Association.
