Miyazawa Kaname  graduated from the Tokyo Metropolitan Kogei (Arts Crafts) High School. He studied cast metal art under Honma Takusai II in Sado, Niigata prefecture. Kaname worked at the Prefectural Testing Centre of All Arts Crafts Department. He exhibited at the Nitten Exhibitions five times (1954, 1965, etc). He was President of the Yamagata Prefectural Arts Crafts Association (Yamagata ken kogei kyokai). He won several prizes including from the Ministry of Education at the Third Flower and Tea Ceremony related utensil exhibition. He exhibited a bronze Ox okimono at the Exhibition for Promoting Small and Medium Businesses in Northern Japan (Kita Nihon chushokigyo koshinten) and won a prize. He was president at the Nagoya Design Capital for Yamagata prefecture exhibits.
